AREA
All the trails begin around the Casanova Refuge,
some of which are suitable for everyone and can even
be accessed by disabled persons such as those who
cannot see or walk.
Badia Prataglia, a lively tourist centre situated in
the park, is only a few metres away and therefore
despite its isolated position and virtually immersed
among age-old trees, it has everything the visitors
might need.
The Visitors Centre is to be found in Badia, and
here tourists can buy gadgets, maps and objects
locally handcrafted in wood. There is also the
Forestry Museum which enables tourists to travel
back in time to explore the history of the forest,
the Romagna region and especially the grand duchy of
Tuscany.
Additionally, there are numerous and modern
sawmills, some of which can be visited and where it
is possible to observe the working of wood from the
collection to production stage.
